Casual Screaming About Andrew Rannells

Andrew Rannells is nominated for a Tony for his portrayal of Whizzer Brown in the 2016 revival of Falsettos. Andrew being the supermodel he naturally is. If Andrew wins, this will be his first Tony. And, honestly, he deserves it. The man is good. He is amazing. His voice. His acting. He is great. He looks like a real estate agent. Let's start at the beginning. It was 2011 or 2012, when I saw a clip of Andrew Rannells and Josh Gad in Book of Mormon. I immediately crushed on Andrew and needed to find out who he was. But then I learned it was Broadway, and similar to what happened with Christian Borle, I did not know that you could be a fan of Broadway without seeing a Broadway show. I nearly forgot Andrew until 2016, when I got into Hamilton and learned he played King George III for a short time. I finally got into Book of Mormon, when I started becoming a fan of the King George III of Hamilton, at the time, Rory O'Malley was talking about it. I listened to the cast a...

Casual Screaming About Christian Borle

What better time to write a blog post about Christian Borle than when he is nominated for yet, another Tony. There is a reason he has two Tony's under his belt, he is an amazing actor. Christian's Tony Portrait Christian won  a Tony in 2012 for Peter and the Starcatcher and another in 2015 for Something Rotten. His nomination this year is for his portrayal of Marvin in the 2016 revival of Falsettos. Christian and Andrew Rannells who plays his on-stage lover I have been a fan of Christian Borle since 2013, when I watched the NBC Sound of Music Live! with Carrie Underwood. I watched it because I love Carrie Underwood and I love the Sound of Music and it was during the short three years my family had cable. Afterward, I came out a fan of Stephen Moyer Audra McDonald and Christian Borle. And I say fan very loosely. The only one I followed afterwards was Audra, but I knew Stephen and Christian's name, so when ever they popped up I was like "oh! That's the...

My 2017 Tony Predictions!!

Hi! So I said that I was going to give my predictions of who was going to win Tony's in 2017. I eliminated some of the categories that I'm not too sure about and here is a complete list of who I think are going to win. I will sat the category and say who I think will win, I won't say anyone else who is nominated, unless noted otherwise. I eliminated the straight plays since I have not seen any of them so I cannot make an accurate decision. Best Musical - Dear Evan Hansen OR Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 181 2 I have seen quite a lot of good things about Groundhog Day The Musical and Come From Away , however, I have heard the most about DEH and TGC and I am in love with them both, though I personally prefer Dear Evan Hansen . Best Revival of a Musical - Falsettos This is less of a prediction and more of a hope, because I am so in love with Falsettos, especially the 2016 Revival and its cast. But I would like to share my personal happiness that Cats  was ...

2017 Tony Nominations!!

Hello! Today the 2017 Tony nominations were announced. I woke up early for the live stream, only for the live stream not to work until after it was all over. I am going to just tell the nominations in case people missed them or don't follow theater. I will not give my predictions, as I'm still doing research about it and still looking at shows and cast albums. I am not very familiar with straight plays, though I do enjoy them. I'm mostly into musicals because I live off cast albums. I apologize in advance that this post will be long, but it is every single nominee and every single category this year.
