Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812

Dave Malloy who? I don't know him. No this blog post is not about the amazing Dave Malloy, but the show he created. Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 is one of the best musicals I have ever listened to. I was a fan of the show, before it went on Broadway. I fell in love with the off Broadway cast and then I fell in love with them again and I fell in love with the new cast members, on Broadway. Not to mention that Josh Groban is in the Broadway cast and I have been a fan of Josh Groban for years. He is one of my favorite artist. I don't want to make this about Groban, because I very easily can. How did they get nominated for 12 tony Awards, but only take home 2? It leaves me completely puzzled, but let's talk about this amazing show. The current Broadway cast, at the time of writing this blog includes: Denee Benton as Natasha Rostova Josh Groban as Pierre Bezukhov Lucas Steele as Anatole Kuragin Brittain Ashford as Sonya Rostova Amber Gray ...

Casual Screaming About Jonathan Groff

Jonathan Drew Groff. One of my favorite TV and stage actors of all time. Jonathan has been nominated for two Tony Awards. One for his portrayal of Melchior in Spring Awakening and the other for his portrayal of King George III in Hamilton. I am a huge fan of his, but I disagree with the second nomination. But that's for another post. Jonathan as King George III The first time I saw Jonathan Groff was the first time I ever watched Glee. I never had cable growing up, I had DTV, which means I had a $25 antenna from Walmart that only got a few channels. Among those channels were PBS, ABC, and Fox. The main channels I watched. My older brother and I stumbled across Glee one night and I was happy, because I heard some kids at my school talking about it. It was the episode "Funk. To jog the memory of any Gleeks that may read this, it was the episode in season one where Will basically gives Sue a lap dance and Vocal Adrenaline eggs Rachel. Now that we're on the same page...

My 2017 Tony Reaction

The 2017 Tony Awards was the biggest heist in the American history. Children will read about this night in their text books. I don't think there will be any photos in this blog post, since I'm writing it right after the Tonys. If you want to see the full list of winners, you can see my previous post  here . I honestly did not like Kevin Spacey hosting the award show. Don't get me wrong, I really love Kevin Spacey. He is one of my favorite actors of all time, but I did not like how he was hosting. The impersonations annoyed me. I did not really enjoy his intro performance, but it is what it is. I hope he does not host again. Bring James Corden back. Or Neil. You can't go wrong with Neil Patrick Harris hosting the Tony awards! I never got the chance to get into Come From Away . Their Tony performance was the first one I saw. I really did like the performance, but personally, I don't think I will get into the musical just on that performance. Sutton Foster...

PSA

I wanted to write a post for today and tomorrow, but I am going to a concert in another state today and tomorrow is Tony day. HOWEVER! I will be posting a reaction to the 2017 Tony awards. How did I think Kevin Spacey's hosting was? Did I disagree with any wins? Was I shocked? My thoughts on the performances. I might actually take notes for this post, so be prepared!

My Top 10 Favorite Musicals (As of June 2017)

Hi! I really am trying to be more active on this blog. I know I've done really bad so far. I'm sorry. While brainstorming what to write my next blog post about, I thought why not rank my top 10 favorite musicals? So here I am to rank my top 10 favorite musicals and I will explain why the musical is in my top 10. 1. Avenue Q Avenue Q is an amazing musical. Besides the very relatable storyline and characters, it is hilarious and you will have songs like "If You Were Gay" and "Spcial" stuck in your head for the rest of your life. This is my favorite musical of all time because I am in my early twenties, still in college, and I don't know what my purpose in life is, if I even have one. Also, Avenue Q is basically Sesame Street for adults. There are actors and puppets onstage. The puppeteers are seen an act with their puppet as they puppeteer. Overall, it's a clever idea for a musical and it's really good. Avenue Q is also how I fell in love...
