Untitled 5 [Writing #13]

Another super dramatic one because I loved writing dramatics in high school. As soon as I finish posting my old writing that I don't hate I will actually start posting some new stuff I write. I promise. Random, but I'm listening to Waterparks as I rewrite a load of these posts. I try to at least have some drafts done so I don't have to scramble to put the posts together.

Words: 596

Alice and her sister, Bridgette, had spent most of the afternoon drinking wine and discussing the future of her marriage. It wasn't until her sister admitted to pitying Alice's cheating husband that the conversation changed.
"Are you serious? You're really taking his side? Over mine? I'm your sister."
"Look, Al, I know he fucked up, but don't pretend you've been so perfect in this marriage."
"He cheated!"
"And you almost did." Bridgette took a sip of her wine.
"Keyword: almost. I never cheated on him. Boy, did I want to, though."
"Then why didn't you?" Bridgette asked.
"Because I loved Bobby too much to hurt him."
"Shut up. You still love him."
"I do, but how can I get over what he did?"
"Uh- you pretend it never happened. Dad was good at that."
"Please let's not bring up mom and dad now. It's not that easy to move past this." Alice poured herself another glass of wine.
"It could be. You're just overthinking it. In his defense, he really believed you cheated on him with Pete." Bridgette explained. "He really came here the night it happened and cried. To me. You sister. So forgive me if I feel bad for the guy. Bobby is not a bad guy. He had a moment of weakness. He regretted it as soon as it happened."
"Okay, but that doesn't change that it still happened, Bridge. What would you do it Brady cheated on you?"
"I'd probably chop his dick off, but Brady and Bobby are two completely different people. I married a malicious asshole. You married a sweet guy who's not alway the brightest and is irrational sometimes. I get being angry and you have every right to be angry with him, but you are not going to leave him. I know you. You love him. He is the love of your life. You're the love of his. Neither would be able to live a week without each other."
"Stop."
"Bobby loves you so fucking much. Go home. Talk to him. If you don't fix things and decide divorce is the best bet you for, then fine. But don't give up without trying to fix things." Bridgette put her wine glass down. "Do you remember the day you told me you loved him?"
"Yeah. It was after mom died and he came to the house every day for three months to make sure we were okay and to keep dad company and play cards with him." Alice smiled.
"Do you remember the night you guys announced you were engaged?"
"Three weeks before we found out we were pregnant with Nic. Then we- we lost her."
"But you made it through that. Do you remember the night before your wedding? You almost left him at the altar because you thought he deserved better."
"What is your point?" Alice asked.
"You and Bobby have been through a lot together. You guys are the real thing. You can't just give up on that."
"Fuck. I hate when you're right."
"I didn't study psychology for nothing. I know how to manipulate the brain." Bridgette laughed. "Love isn't easy. But that's okay. If love was easy, we'd all be bored of it."
"Yeah." Alice sighed.
"Call him to come pick you up because you cannot drive. Talk to him. Make up. Have amazing make-up sex."
"I don't know about all that, but I will call him." Alice grabbed her phone. "If we don't makeup, I'll be back."
"I'll leave the back door unlocked," Bridgette smirked. Alice rolled her eyes and grabbed her phone.

That Time A President Conducted Meetings from the Toilet

Happy Monday! Another week ahead. This week's weird moment from history is how President Lyndon B. Johnson conducted meetings and interviews while on the toilet. I learned way too much about LBJ while doing research for this post and it is going to be a LONG time before I write another weird history post about him. But there will be at least another one in the future. Man was weird. Quick history lesson for my non-Americans who may not know who LBJ is. Lyndon Baines Johnson was the 36th President of the United States. He assumed the position following the assassination of John F. Kennedy. He was president from 1963 til 1969. NOW if you're like me and you grew up with the rewatching the movie Forrest Gump over and over again your first introduction to LBJ might be when Forrest was being honored with the Medal of Honor and showed the president where he was "shot in the buttocks" during the Vietnam War.  I haven't watched Forrest Gump in years, but if you haven't...

Fangirl Friday: Deleasa

Heyo! Happy Friday! It's that time of the week when I ramble about someone I love! Today's subject is DJ and producer, Deleasa. His name is Mike Deleasa and while I normally refer to my subjects by first name in these posts, I will be referring to him by his stage name, Deleasa. NOW to understand how I became a fan of Deleasa, we have to go all the way back to 2012, when Kevin and Danielle Jonas' reality show, Married to Jonas  premiered. I bet you're wondering what does this guy have to do with the Jonas Brothers? Deleasa is actually Danielle's brother, making him Kevin's brother-in-law. He was featured in the reality show and I ended up falling in love with him. He was actually my parasocial "rebound" from Joe. You can read all about my parasocial breakup with Joe in my Fangirl Friday about him . But enough about the Jonas Brothers. That's not why we're here. Plus I've already written 30k words about them on this blog. However, I am for...

Zac Efron and Garrett Clayton are Basically the Same Person

I, a 21-year-old adult, is still a HUGE fan of the High School Musical franchise. In high school, had I been a better planner, I would have asked Lucas Grabeel to be my prom date. And even though I was older than most viewers, I did love Teen Beach Movie when it came out. In this post, I am going to explain how Zac Efron and Garrett Clayton are basically the same person. Let's start at the beginning. You may know Zac Efron as Troy Bolton in the Disney Channel Original Movie (or DCOM), High School Musical and it's franchise. He is the attractive blue-eyed, protagonist of all three HSM movies. And I will admit that I was a huge fangirl for him in my youth. Honestly, now I can't stand him. But that's for another post. Zac portrayed Troy in all three HSM films, but he only sang in the last two. That's right. Zac Efron did not sing in the first HSM movie. That was the amazingly talented Drew Seeley whom I will love till the day I die. Similarly, Garrett Clayton pl...
