Casual Screaming About Lin-Manuel Miranda

Hello! Hello! So I fixed everything with my laptop and I have all of my photos back. And Avenue Q was amazing and I will write a blog post about it soon, hopefully.
Lin-Manuel Miranda with one of his Tonys
This post is about the amazing Lin-Manuel Miranda. He has won three Tonys, two Grammys, an Emmy and a Pulitzer Prize. He is so good he has been nominated for an Oscar and is so close to being EGOT status.

I have been a fan of Lin for years. Mostly on and off, because I first "discovered" him in Electric Company. He would do little skits with Shockwave. Shock would beat box and Lin would rap about different things. My favorite is "Silent E is a Ninja", included below:
I didn't really follow him after that. Similar to what happened with John Tartaglia after Johnny and the Sprites. It wasn't until March of 2016 that Lin came back into my life.

For months people had been telling me to get into Hamilton. It's a musical about American History with rap songs. I didn't really like US history at the time and I have never really been a huge fan of Hamilton. It wasn't until Andrew Chappelle posted a photo of himself and Jonathan Groff on Instagram that I wanted to get into it.
I fell in love with the musical as soon as I listened to "Satisfied". It's still my favorite song. I learned everything I could about the musical. I fell in love with US history, believe it or not. I am a person who likes to do research, so I did a lot of research after getting into Hamilton.
When Hamilton swept the 2016 Tony Awards, I was really happy about it, because I think they deserve all of the Tonys they took home. The musical itself and the cast are amazing. After getting into Hamilton, I got into In the Heights, which honestly, I like more than Hamilton because I relate more with ITH.
I knew of In the Heights beforehand, because if you know me, you know I like High School Musical, and Corbin Bleu was in In the Heights for a while. But I hadn't gotten into In the Heights until after Hamilton. And I also fell in love with 21 Chump Street, which you can watch below. It's just a short 15-minute show.

But back to the man who makes it all happen: Lin-Manuel Miranda. He is one of my heroes. He inspires me to write and I thank him for that. He inspires me to push through my writer's block which I get often (with this blog alone, it took me a month to write this post).
Not only is Lin very talented, his tweets are also entertaining, but don't put him on Tweet notification, because you will get spammed if he's not on vacation, but even then you're not safe. He is no longer performing in Hamilton, but he is writing, as he has informed people in his Tweets.
I have Lin on Tweet notifications and I often wake up to several of his Tweets, which I don't mind, but sometimes it gets overwhelming.
I'm sorry that this post is skimpy compared to the other "casual screaming about..." posts. I'm trying to get back into the groove of things, but it's been a month and I'm a bit rusty! So I apologize. They will improve and things will be back to normal, I promise.

Also, I am going back to school so I will try to do a post every day, but if that doesn't work out, it will be Fri-Mon and T, W, TH will not have a post since those are the only days I have classes. But let's see how this goes.

Zac Efron and Garrett Clayton are Basically the Same Person

I, a 21-year-old adult, is still a HUGE fan of the High School Musical franchise. In high school, had I been a better planner, I would have asked Lucas Grabeel to be my prom date. And even though I was older than most viewers, I did love Teen Beach Movie when it came out. In this post, I am going to explain how Zac Efron and Garrett Clayton are basically the same person. Let's start at the beginning. You may know Zac Efron as Troy Bolton in the Disney Channel Original Movie (or DCOM), High School Musical and it's franchise. He is the attractive blue-eyed, protagonist of all three HSM movies. And I will admit that I was a huge fangirl for him in my youth. Honestly, now I can't stand him. But that's for another post. Zac portrayed Troy in all three HSM films, but he only sang in the last two. That's right. Zac Efron did not sing in the first HSM movie. That was the amazingly talented Drew Seeley whom I will love till the day I die. Similarly, Garrett Clayton pl

Is Marvin from Falsettos Abusive? And Why is He Such an Easy Character to Hate?

Is Marvin abusive? Short answer: yes. Long answer: You've come to the right place. "I love my tight-knit family. I love the way they cook linguine." Let's get this out of the way, this blog, as all of my blog posts are, is 100% my opinion. Unless stated directly that it is fact, this is all what's going on in my mind. Thoughts from a fangirl, if you will. Also I have to use Spotify to link the songs, because the entire 2016 revival cast album is not on YouTube and I know the revival album better than the original albums. Also this post is going to be long because I'm actually going through actual lines from the musical. I am going to try to sprinkle some photos into this post. "Lovers come and lovers go." Listen to "Marvin Hits Trina" on Spotify. Let's start with the most obvious: Marvin hits Trina after learning that she's going to marry Mendel. Where can you find this scene? In "Marvin Hits Trina". It'

That Time A President Conducted Meetings from the Toilet

Happy Monday! Another week ahead. This week's weird moment from history is how President Lyndon B. Johnson conducted meetings and interviews while on the toilet. I learned way too much about LBJ while doing research for this post and it is going to be a LONG time before I write another weird history post about him. But there will be at least another one in the future. Man was weird. Quick history lesson for my non-Americans who may not know who LBJ is. Lyndon Baines Johnson was the 36th President of the United States. He assumed the position following the assassination of John F. Kennedy. He was president from 1963 til 1969. NOW if you're like me and you grew up with the rewatching the movie Forrest Gump over and over again your first introduction to LBJ might be when Forrest was being honored with the Medal of Honor and showed the president where he was "shot in the buttocks" during the Vietnam War.  I haven't watched Forrest Gump in years, but if you haven't
