Heyo! It's been a minute. I was in Puerto Rico for the last three weeks of December. I didn't bring my laptop on the trip, hence my lack of posting. Then when I got home, I didn't have WiFi at home. But now I have WiFi, so I'll be working hard on my blog while I can.
Last month we got blessed with new music from Set It Off, Gerard Way and Ryan Ross. I will talk about all of it, I promise. Today I'm talking about Ryan Ross' new song and that video.
The song is titled "The Bad List" and it is a collaboration between Ryan and Z Berg. Full disclosure I was not familiar with Z Berg before this song, but I appreciate her now.
Here's the video:
Are you as shocked as I am that I got to actually insert the actual video for once?
I think the song is considered a Christmas song, but I have been listening to it almost a month after Christmas. It's got a really pretty melody.
The video is something. You see a man find a lifeless body on a beach and he treats the body as if it were a living person. Big shout out to Z Berg who did a great job playing a dead body. She didn't even flinch at the end of the video when the wave hit her. I weirdly enjoy the aesthetic of the video.
The video is a bit bizarre, but I think it compliments the song well. I enjoy both the video and the song. It is actually currently my most played song of 2019 thus far.
I have been a casual fan of Ryan Ross for a few years. I got into Panic! at the Disco after he had already left, but I really did love listening to his voice on their older tracks and I enjoy The Young Veins. I never got super into him, but whenever he came on, I wasn't going to skip him. So when I found out about this song I was so excited.
I found out about the song only two days before it came out, but I was not disappointed. I really do love this song. The melody. The lyrics. The beautiful way Ryan and Z Berg's voices work well together. It's constantly stuck in my head, hence why I listen to it so much. The piano is just so nice.
I am definitely going to be looking more into Z Berg and of course, I will continue to support Ryan in everything he does in the future.
I am working on more posts. I don't know how often I'll be posting them since I still don't have WiFi at home, but I'll figure it out.
