Legally Blonde the Musical

So I don't listen to musical cast albums as much as I did last year. I have been very out of touch with Broadway and theater this year. However, I still love musicals, one of them being Legally Blonde the Musical!
Honestly, I ignored Legally Blonde the movie for most of my life and the only reason I gave the musical a chance is because I became obsessed with Christian Borle. I fell in love with the musical and how it was a girl power story and then I watched the movie and it made me love Reese Witherspoon even more.

But I will admit I like the musical more than the movie, but I think overall this story is amazing for girls. You can be both pretty and smart.
Let's start with the characters and original Broadway cast (this is from the Wikipedia page so it's not a complete list of characters):
Laura Bell Bundy as Elle Woods
Christian Borle as Emmett Forrest
Richard H. Blake as Warner Huntington III
Orfeh as Paulette Bonafonte
Kate Shindle as Vivienne Kensington
Michael Rupert as Professor Callahan
Andy Karl as Chad / Dewey / Kyle
Nikki Snelson as Brooke Wyndham / Shandi
Natalie Joy Johnson as Enid Hoopes / Veronica
Leslie Kritzer as Serena
Annaleigh Ashford as Margot
DeQuina Moore as Pilar
Kate Wetherhead as Kate / Chutney
Track List:
Act I
1. "Ohmigod You Guys"
2. "Serious"
3. "What You Want"
4. "The Harvard Variations"
5. "Blood in the Water"
6. "Positive"
7. "Ireland"
8. "Ireland (Reprise)"
9. "Serious (Reprise)"
10. "Chip on My Shoulder"
11. "So Much Better"
Act II
12. "Whipped Into Shape"
13. "Take It Like a Man"
14. "Bend and Snap"
15. "There! Right There!"
16. "Legally Blonde"
17. "Legally Blonde (Remix)
18. "Find My Way / Finale"
Thanks for Legally Blonde the Musical I fell more in love with Christian Borle's talents and I was introduced to the amazing Laura Bell Bundy, Andy Karl, and Orfeh. I have the biggest crush on Orfeh. Not gonna lie. I think she is amazing and talented. PLUS Michael Rupert is also in this and wow he is so talented.

Random fun fact: Orfeh who plays Paulette and Andy Karl who plays Kyle are married in real life and super cute together.

I love this story. Elle follows who she thinks is the love of her life from Malibu, California to Harvard Law School in Massachusettes. So she really goes across the country for him and he never even sees why she is so amazing. Elle Woods proves that a girl can be both pretty and smart because she had a 4.0 in fashion merchandising AND got into Harvard Law school.

A lot more ensues, but I won't bore you with a summary. Check the musical out if you're interested.

At the end, Elle falls for Emmett and they are the ULTIMATE goals.

I love this musical so much and it ranked in My Top 10 Favorite Musicals post that I made last year. Give it a listen. It is so freaking good. The original Broadway cast is my personal favorite to listen to. I know there's the West End cast album, but I can't listen to anyone besides Christian Borle playing Emmett, honestly.
Favorite Character: Emmett and Bruiser
Least Favorite Character: Professor Calahan and Warner
Favorite Song: This is hard, but it's between "Chip on My Shoulder", "Blood in the Water" and "So Much Better"
Least Favorite Song: "Serious (Reprise)"
Rate out of 10: 11/10 would recommend!

I have so much love for this musical and I am going to share the Spotify link to the album here. Check it out. Show the movie to younger girls in your life. I got into this when I was 20 and it still inspired me a lot.

I'll end with this:
ELLE WOODS IS AN ICONIC ICON

Why Blue is the Real Villain of Blue's Big City Adventure

Okay, so maybe "villain" isn't the right word. Blue is more like the antagonist. This post is about the Blues' Clues & You movie Blue's Big City Adventure. So there will be spoilers. If you have Paramount+, it's only an hour watch. I promise it is worth the watch if you have watched Blue's Clues in any capacity. Blue's Big City Adventure poster If you were born in the 90s or early 2000s like me then you most likely watched the original Blue's Clues show hosted by either Steve (Steve Burns) or Joe (Donovan Patton). I have an older and a younger brother, so I got to experience both. However, MY host was Steve, and I am a Steve fan til the day I die. I have Blue's Clues & You playing in the background as I write this post because I realized I haven't watched a single episode of the new series despite watching the movie 6 times. I cannot stress enough how much I love Blue's new design. She looks so much fluffier. The original Blue...

Fangirl Friday: Deleasa

Heyo! Happy Friday! It's that time of the week when I ramble about someone I love! Today's subject is DJ and producer, Deleasa. His name is Mike Deleasa and while I normally refer to my subjects by first name in these posts, I will be referring to him by his stage name, Deleasa. NOW to understand how I became a fan of Deleasa, we have to go all the way back to 2012, when Kevin and Danielle Jonas' reality show, Married to Jonas  premiered. I bet you're wondering what does this guy have to do with the Jonas Brothers? Deleasa is actually Danielle's brother, making him Kevin's brother-in-law. He was featured in the reality show and I ended up falling in love with him. He was actually my parasocial "rebound" from Joe. You can read all about my parasocial breakup with Joe in my Fangirl Friday about him . But enough about the Jonas Brothers. That's not why we're here. Plus I've already written 30k words about them on this blog. However, I am for...

That Time Rod Stewart Found Other Ways of Doing Cocaine

Heyo! Happy Monday! This week's That Time... is a doozy. If you're a classic rock fan or a fan of Rod Stewart, you probably know exactly what this post is about. This one is a short one, but an interesting one. So bear with me. Of course need to put a warning about drug use. There are plenty of other posts that you are more than welcome to check out if this isn't your thing. If you are unfamiliar with Rod Stewart, let me introduce you to the ICON! He's a rockstar who also has a few pop bangers. I grew up with his music and can't remember a time in my life without his music. The first song I think of when he pops into my head is "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?" . I know it's the most basic song of his, but I have fond memories listening to the song on the radio when I was a kid. He's also dabbled in a few bands, but I am more familiar with his solo work than his bands. Though check out his band, Faces. In 2012, Rod released his autobiography, Rod: The A...
