Casual Screaming About Shane Dawson

Hey! What's up you guys, yes! Today, we're talking about one of my favorite YouTubers, Shane Dawson! I've written posts about him before and I'll link them at the end of the post if you want to check it out. I know, it's a shocker when I'm not writing about music on my blog at this point.
Being that Shane very frequently posts videos on YouTube, I was shocked to learn how hard it is to find recent photos of him on Google.

I have been watching Shane for over ten years now. I've been following him since around the time he started on YouTube. I have been there for everything. Every scandal, every single video. Everything. I am not going to talk about his scandals in this post, because I don't think that's necessary.

Shane is someone I admire and look up to. For a short time, I did try to be a YouTuber. I gave up after like eleven videos. But Shane is a hero of mine because he has overcome so much and continues to keep going.

His videos have changed over the years. He used to do more comedy and skit-heavy videos weekly, then he did daily vlogging and he followed trends. Now he's doing docu-series. To see how versatile he has been on the platform is inspiring. He is able to change with YouTube.
As much as I do miss the comedy skits and all the characters, I do really enjoy his series. I am very much looking forward to the next one, whatever it is, Shane is someone I can see myself supporting for the rest of my miserable life. His content makes my life a little less miserable.

I credit him as a hero because he has saved my life.  It was this video that gave me the push I needed to keep going. I owe a lot to Shane. I made a quick post like his for his birthday, which you can read here.

But he really means the world to me. I know I say that about a lot of people, but there are five that I TRULY mean it for. Shane, CrankThatFrank, Brendon Urie, Dallon Weekes. He's up there with the greats.
Shane helped me. I was a depressed eleven-year-old starting middle school in a new school where I didn't know anyone and the days were longer than normal - we were in school from7:15am till 4pm no joke - and I wasn't handling the change well. It really took a toll on my mental health and to this day I do blame my middle school and my high school - who are under the same company so it was the same BS - for triggering my depression and even my anxiety and fear of failure. But I looked forward to Shane's videos every week. He helped me get through that.

He really was the light in the darkness for me. He helped me find my way through middle school and then through high school and THEN when I did two years of college. And I still watch his content today.

I think I mostly liked him at the beginning because his humor was very raunchy and often times dark. And I live in a household where nothing is off limits, so my taste in humor is very dark.

When he started vlogging daily, I was so happy because it meant more Shane content. I will be honest, though because when he started following trends and did all the food videos, I wasn't the biggest fan of that content. However, I did watch and support because I love him so much and I will continue supporting him no matter what. I love his conspiracy theory videos. I am hoping he does more. I have loved every series he has done so far and I cannot wait for the next one.

I cannot talk about Shane without mentioning his music. He briefly came out with a few songs, all of which I genuinely love. I listened to his music all the time. I even bought "F*ck Up" on iTunes to support him. And to this day, that song is still my theme song and one of my favorite songs of all time.

We cannot NOT talk about "Superluv" which I still think is a bop. I don't care what anyone says. Throwback to my crush on Sawyer Hartman and Brie Esrig. Both who I used to watch on YouTube, but have since lost connection. I don't know why I stopped watching them.

Also, "DOUCHEBAG" which was a parody of Lady Gaga's "Judas" which I think is underappreciated. The video was directed by Totally Sketch (Michael Gallagher) and had Lisa Schwatz, Jason Horton and Richard Ryan. I miss the old squad so much. Those were the days. I used to keep up with everyone.

I am just so excited to see what Shane does in the future.
I know he and his boyfriend, Ryland Adams, have recently bought a new house together and I really hope we get a house tour.

Through Shane, I have fallen in love with many other YouTubers. Such as Trisha Paytas, Garrett Watts, Ryland, and Morgan Adams.

Shane is one of my favorite people and my favorite YouTubers. I know everyone's opinion of him is different, but I personally love him and cannot wait to see what the future holds.

That Time A President Conducted Meetings from the Toilet

Happy Monday! Another week ahead. This week's weird moment from history is how President Lyndon B. Johnson conducted meetings and interviews while on the toilet. I learned way too much about LBJ while doing research for this post and it is going to be a LONG time before I write another weird history post about him. But there will be at least another one in the future. Man was weird. Quick history lesson for my non-Americans who may not know who LBJ is. Lyndon Baines Johnson was the 36th President of the United States. He assumed the position following the assassination of John F. Kennedy. He was president from 1963 til 1969. NOW if you're like me and you grew up with the rewatching the movie Forrest Gump over and over again your first introduction to LBJ might be when Forrest was being honored with the Medal of Honor and showed the president where he was "shot in the buttocks" during the Vietnam War.  I haven't watched Forrest Gump in years, but if you haven't...

Fangirl Friday: Deleasa

Heyo! Happy Friday! It's that time of the week when I ramble about someone I love! Today's subject is DJ and producer, Deleasa. His name is Mike Deleasa and while I normally refer to my subjects by first name in these posts, I will be referring to him by his stage name, Deleasa. NOW to understand how I became a fan of Deleasa, we have to go all the way back to 2012, when Kevin and Danielle Jonas' reality show, Married to Jonas  premiered. I bet you're wondering what does this guy have to do with the Jonas Brothers? Deleasa is actually Danielle's brother, making him Kevin's brother-in-law. He was featured in the reality show and I ended up falling in love with him. He was actually my parasocial "rebound" from Joe. You can read all about my parasocial breakup with Joe in my Fangirl Friday about him . But enough about the Jonas Brothers. That's not why we're here. Plus I've already written 30k words about them on this blog. However, I am for...

Zac Efron and Garrett Clayton are Basically the Same Person

I, a 21-year-old adult, is still a HUGE fan of the High School Musical franchise. In high school, had I been a better planner, I would have asked Lucas Grabeel to be my prom date. And even though I was older than most viewers, I did love Teen Beach Movie when it came out. In this post, I am going to explain how Zac Efron and Garrett Clayton are basically the same person. Let's start at the beginning. You may know Zac Efron as Troy Bolton in the Disney Channel Original Movie (or DCOM), High School Musical and it's franchise. He is the attractive blue-eyed, protagonist of all three HSM movies. And I will admit that I was a huge fangirl for him in my youth. Honestly, now I can't stand him. But that's for another post. Zac portrayed Troy in all three HSM films, but he only sang in the last two. That's right. Zac Efron did not sing in the first HSM movie. That was the amazingly talented Drew Seeley whom I will love till the day I die. Similarly, Garrett Clayton pl...
