Heyo! And Happy Halloween! Also November Plans!

This is going up on Halloween. So happy spoops! I just wanted to post this and tell you my plans for November. I am going to try to post every day next month. Every. Single. Day. I am trying to at least have the first weekend scheduled so I'm ahead, that way if I feel iffy, I can take a day off. I am going to post writing posts every Sunday and Wednesday. So that is pretty normal still. Also at the end of every post - except personal posts - I am going to add links to related posts. So that's a new thing I'm doing. That's all I wanted to say. I hope you are having a wonderful Halloween. I'm most likely going to be home listening to "Baby You're a Haunted House" on repeat and play Sims 4.

McCartha's October 2018 Picks

Since I am constantly listening to music, I decided why not make a playlist at the end of each month. Each playlist will be what I was listening to all month. They will be between 1.5 and 3 hours depending on the month. So since this is the playlist for October, it'll have some Halloween songs, but mostly whatever has been stuck in my head all month. I am making playlists on both Spotify and YouTube. The YouTube playlist may have some extra songs that are not on Spotify. So be sure to check them both out. On each post about the playlists, I'll include the playlists track list and maybe some commentary at the end. You can find the playlists here: Spotify YouTube So let's talk about October's playlist's tracklist 1. "Last of the Real One" - Fall Out Boy 2. "Say Amen (Saturday Night)" - Panic! at the Disco 3. "My Way" - Andy Black 4. "Dying in a Hot Tub" - Palaye Royale 5. "Spooky Scary Skeletons" - A...

Untitled - A Hamilton One-Shot [Writing #21]

This is another Hamilton one-shot because I have a lot of old fanfiction that I am recycling until it runs out, which seems like it'll be very soon. This is a long one, but I like how it came out. This is kind of a sequel to the last Hamilton one-shot, which you can read here if you so choose. Words: 1729 Philip is Born It had been almost four months since John's funeral. Alexander sat in his study, reading the last letter he had received from his dear John. He didn't understand why the man was on his mind so much today. He should have been thinking of his wife. She was going to be giving birth soon if she hadn't already. He wouldn't know. She was in their bedroom because she had insisted on a home birth. He was nervous about being a father. He feared he would fail his son. At least he was hoping it was a bot. He wished John was here. He knew he could go to John for anything. And since John had been a father two years longer, he'd understand the feeling....

Update

I have been planning some blog posts so I might be posting some this week or next week. I know that I do want to keep posting my writing every Wednesday so I will have a new writing post tomorrow. I recently have fallen in love with a new band and I thought I'd write a post about their album. So that's coming soon. I am also working on "Kinda Review" posts for Mania, Trench and Pray for the Wicked. There's a lot on my agenda. Just be patient and I will deliver. I know IDKHow's EP comes out two days before I see them live. I may not be able to immediately post a review of that, but I do plan on writing a post about the band and also writing another post about Waterparks for that weekend. The "Kinda Review" of the album might have to wait a little while. Again, I will not post much in December unless I schedule posts. I am still figuring out what I am going to do. I am going to try to write as many posts as I can so I can get ahead. I want to p...

My Thoughts on Shane Dawson's "The Mind of Jake Paul" Series on YouTube

I know, I said I was taking a break, and I am, but I wanted to write a post about this series once it was over. So here are my thoughts on it. I probably won't put photos and videos, it'll only be my thoughts, so sorry if it's really long. Also, I apologize if there are any errors that I miss because I am typing this with an injured middle finger and it's making typing a bit tedious. Everything is my opinion and nothing is meant to be taken to heart by anyone. I just wanted to talk about my thoughts on the series. I don't mean to insult or offend anyone. If I do, I am sorry. This is just how I personally feel. THIS POST IS REALLY LONG, BUT IT WAS ALMOST LONGER, I HAD TO CUT OUT A LOT!! SORRY! If you haven't caught up and would like to catch up with "The Mind of Jake Paul" series you can binge and catch up here . Let me be honest, I was never a fan of either Paul brothers. I never kept up with their YouTube channels or their vines. The only re...

Taking a Break

I love this blog. I really wanted to post daily on this and I kept it up for two weeks, but trying to come up with something to write about every day has been taxing. I am going, to be honest, August and September were really good months for me, mentally. For the first time in ten years, I didn't feel hopeless and depressed. I had a really good high on life. I haven't had a high like this in years. I was really excited about what the future holds. I am still excited, but in the past week, I've had a decline. I've dealt with depression for the past half of my life. I'm no stranger to it. But I've never gone from such a high to a low. For myself and for this blog, I am going to take a break. I don't want to force myself to continue writing posts because it'll make me resent this blog. I am sorry. I will try to work on some posts that I had planned anyway, but for the most part, I might not post for the rest of October. I will still be active on a...

My New Blog Set Up!

Firstly, let me just say I have posted everyday for two weeks which is saying a lot because I have wanted to be a daily blogger since I started this blog New Years 2017. I recently "renovated" my blog. I've got a new theme and it's easier to navigate now! It took me forty-five minutes to get it the way I wanted, which is the way you see it. I thought I'd make a post to explain how to use the new layout. I am going to be using screenshots of the mobile version of the blog, which is not different from the desktop version. The pictures will be under the descriptions because I feel like that might be easier. On the homepage, you should see the featured post first. Excuse my gross handwriting. The featured post is always going to be the most recent post. This was done Wednesday morning before Wednesday's post went up, so in the screenshot below, you're seeing Tuesday's post. Then if you scroll down, you'll see my last posts in backwards chro...

Defending CrankThatFrank

Fair Warning: This blog is mostly always clean, but his post has some expletives because when I wrote it, I was angry and had a lot of emotions. I am appalled. And disgusted. Honestly, I am debating even posting this or not, but I feel like I need to vent about it and defend someone who I highly respect and who means the world to me. As you may know, if you know me, I am a massive fan of CrankThatFrank on YouTube. I wrote a blog post about him. I have been watching his videos for almost four years now. He is sweet enough to grant me an interview on this blog. I have a love for him, as I have a love for everyone I am a fan of.  But he, specifically, is a person who has gotten me through hell with his content. Someone in the YouTube community made a video about not liking Frank. They said some things and made some bullshit accusations. I am not going to say who or share the video because I will not play into what that person wants, which is more views. I did watch th...

My Reaction to Panic! at the Disco's Performance of "Bohemian Rhapsody" at the AMA's

FIRSTLY, I wasn't planning on having another music post, but I just need to talk about Panic! at the Disco's cover of "Bohemian Rhapsody" at the AMA's. I was going to write a blog post about Her, one of my favorite movies, but this is more important at the moment. The reason that this is being posted on Thursday and not Wednesday is because I post my writing on Wednesdays. But I am writing this Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. It was the first time I saw Mike perform with the band and WE STAN. Welcome to the band, bud. This is not going to be a super long post, but I did want to give my reaction to the performance because if you've seen my post last Friday about Panic! at the Disco, you know they're one of my favorite bands. You can find that post here . The performance is inserted above, in case you haven't seen it yet. I am a HUGE fan of Queen and have written two previous posts (you can find them  here and here ) about them and have many...

Take a Break [Writing #20]

Wow, can you believe I've posted 20 writing pieces on this blog? A lot of them are original, which I've never posted my original writing until now. This is just cute fluff because I like writing fluff. Words: 317 Pat sat on the couch. His headphones were n and his laptop was open. He has been working from home non-stop for the last two days and Mark was longing for attention. Plopping on the couch, Mark stared at Pat, hoping it would distract him, but nothing happened. "Pat!" Mark whined. He laid his head on his boyfriend's laptop and looked up at him. "What is it?" Pat asked, looking down at him. "I haven't bothered you in two whole days and I deserve some kind of reward." Mark's whininess made Pat laugh. "And I will make it up to you after I'm done. I promise." "How long will that take?" Mark asked. "I don't know, but-" "Come on! Take a break. Let's go out and do something....

The Only YouTubers I Watch Religiously

So since my blog has been very music-heavy recently, I thought I'd take a break from writing about music and write about one of my other passions. Watching YouTube. These are the ONLY YouTubers I watch every one of their videos since becoming a fan. I'll count them down. Everyone's YouTube channel will be linked in their name. 11. Philip DeFranco I'm going to be real, I watch The Philip DeFranco show every day. I have it on post notifications and this is really the only news source I follow and use. He keeps it real and he covers things I care about. Plus he keeps it simple for stupid because I have a small monkey brain sometimes. I enjoy his channel because he covers a wide range of news stories. He covers celebrity news sometimes and he talks about what's happening on YouTube and he talks about what's going on in the US government. It's everything I need. Plus his videos aren't hours long. He keeps it all concise. If you, like me, can't ...

Kinda Review: Entertainment - Waterparks Album (Also My 100th Post!!)

Hi! Welcome to another "Kinda Review". The reason why all these are called "Kinda Review" is because I have no constructive criticism and it's all just me screaming about albums and artist. This also so happens to be my 100th post. And it's a long one, this is your warning. I had to stop myself from writting an essay about every song. Also since I'm posting this on Monday my Man Crush Monday is all three members of Waterparks. I wrote a blog post about Waterparks when I first got into them which you can find here . In that post I said I hope to see them live and guess what, I am seeing them live in November. I am beyond excited because this will be my first REAL concert. Today, I'm talking about their newest album Entertainment . I have listened to this album so much. It's so good. Go listen to it, if you haven't. I'll try to insert all of the videos, but if I cannot insert the videos, they will be linked in the song titles. ...

I Love You - A Hamilton One-Shot [Writing #19]

I wrote a lot of Broadway fanfiction between 2016-2017. It helped me deal with a lot. So here's another one-shot from that time. This is both fan and historical fiction. I am a history nerd. I actually did a little bit of research to write this. Also, this is left to interpretation. The more than friends narrative can mean a lot of things. It doesn't have to be romantic. Words: 1073 A Letter Alexander sent his final letter to his best friend, John, on August 15. He had no idea that it would be his final letter to his dear John. After almost three weeks, he finally received a letter. On his way to his office, his wife stopped him. "Alexander, there is a letter for you," Eliza explained, holding a single envelope in her hand. "It's from Laurens. He has finally responded. I will read it later." "No. It's from his father." She explained, grabbing Alexander's attention. "His father? Why would Henry write to me?" Alexande...
