Casual Screaming About Fall Out Boy

This is a post way overdue. Of all the new albums of 2018, MANIA, is my most played album and I will 100% be writing a "Kinda Review" about it.

Today, I'm writing about Fall Out Boy because I have loved them since middle school. I got into them after I got into MCR. I will explain that because it's a funny story that pretty much encompasses 12 year old me PERFECTLY.

Let's start with the basics as I do with every post about a band.
(L to R) Patrick Stump, Andy Hurley, Pete Wentz, Joe Trohman
The band is made up of four members:
Patrick Stump - Lead Vocals
Pete Wentz - Bass
Joe Trohman - Guitar
Andy Hurley - Drums

Discography:
Studio Albums:
Take This to Your Grave (2003)
From Under the Cork Tree (2005)
Infinity on High (2007)
Folie à Deux (2008)
Save Rock and Roll (2013)
American Beauty/American Psycho (2015)
MANIA (2018)

Live Albums:
Live in Phoenix (2008)
Live in Tokoyo (2013)

EPs:
Projects Rocket/Fall Out Boy (2002)
Fall Out Boy's Evening Out with Your Girlfriend (2003)
My Heart Will Always Be the B-Side to My Tongue (2004)
Leaked in London (2007)
America's Suitehearts: Remixed. Retouched, Rehabbed and Retoxed (2009)
PAX AM Days (2013)
Spotify Singles (2018)
Llamania [credited as Frost & the Nightmare Making Machine] (2018)
Lake Effect Kid (2018)

I didn't include the remix/compilation/mixtape albums. But you can find that all with a quick Google search.
As I am writing this, I am saving more photos of this band than I will use in this post because I have no self-control. I'm also jamming to MANIA because I love this album more than I will probably ever love my children if I have children.

I feel like I've always known of Fall Out Boy. "Sugar We're Going Down" or "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs" was the first song I heard by them where I knew what to call the band. I don't remember which, but it was one of them. Let me tell you, besides of course loving their music there is another reason I became a fan.

I watched the "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs" video and IMMEDIATELY crushed on Pete. Was it the guyliner or was it that he kind of reminded me of Frank Iero from My Chemical Romance, who I was obsessed with at the time? Who knows? I was maybe eleven or twelve and I had a weird taste in men back then. No joke every guy I seriously crushed on in middle school reminded me of Frank Iero in some way. I am now realizing that as an adult. I could make you a list.

So you can say Pete is the one who attracted me to the band and Patrick's vocals is what has kept me here. Boy, can that man sing. I want a sing-off between Patrick and Brendon Urie. I know I'm not the only one.
I don't have as much to say about Fall Out Boy as I did for Panic! at the Disco because even though I have always loved their music, I never seriously obsessed over them. Well until MANIA came out and I have been harassing everyone in my life to listen to it.

It's funny, though because recently, I have been listening to Folie à Deux a lot. I made my dad listen to "20 Dollar Nose Bleed" a few times when he lets me have the aux cord in his car.

I've been thinking about what's my favorite Fall Out Boy song, as I've been writing this and I don't know because it's between three songs.

Favorite Song: "Church", "20 Dollar Nose Bleed", "I Don't Care"
Least Favorite Song: I don't have one.
Rate out of 10: 11/10 would recommend

I can 100% blame my pre-MANIA hype on CrankThatFrank because he went hard on his channel. But when the album came out, it met that hype.
Go listen to MANIA if you have not. If you have never heard Fall Out Boy, which I doubt, go check them out!

I have some more "Casual Screaming" and "Fangirl Friday" posts about more bands and artists. There are also some "Kinda Reviews" in the works.

Also some posts about some shows I love. Mosts post take at least 45 minutes to write and I'm trying to backlog them so I can at least post every day in November.

Why Blue is the Real Villain of Blue's Big City Adventure

Okay, so maybe "villain" isn't the right word. Blue is more like the antagonist. This post is about the Blues' Clues & You movie Blue's Big City Adventure. So there will be spoilers. If you have Paramount+, it's only an hour watch. I promise it is worth the watch if you have watched Blue's Clues in any capacity. Blue's Big City Adventure poster If you were born in the 90s or early 2000s like me then you most likely watched the original Blue's Clues show hosted by either Steve (Steve Burns) or Joe (Donovan Patton). I have an older and a younger brother, so I got to experience both. However, MY host was Steve, and I am a Steve fan til the day I die. I have Blue's Clues & You playing in the background as I write this post because I realized I haven't watched a single episode of the new series despite watching the movie 6 times. I cannot stress enough how much I love Blue's new design. She looks so much fluffier. The original Blue...

Fangirl Friday: Deleasa

Heyo! Happy Friday! It's that time of the week when I ramble about someone I love! Today's subject is DJ and producer, Deleasa. His name is Mike Deleasa and while I normally refer to my subjects by first name in these posts, I will be referring to him by his stage name, Deleasa. NOW to understand how I became a fan of Deleasa, we have to go all the way back to 2012, when Kevin and Danielle Jonas' reality show, Married to Jonas  premiered. I bet you're wondering what does this guy have to do with the Jonas Brothers? Deleasa is actually Danielle's brother, making him Kevin's brother-in-law. He was featured in the reality show and I ended up falling in love with him. He was actually my parasocial "rebound" from Joe. You can read all about my parasocial breakup with Joe in my Fangirl Friday about him . But enough about the Jonas Brothers. That's not why we're here. Plus I've already written 30k words about them on this blog. However, I am for...

That Time Rod Stewart Found Other Ways of Doing Cocaine

Heyo! Happy Monday! This week's That Time... is a doozy. If you're a classic rock fan or a fan of Rod Stewart, you probably know exactly what this post is about. This one is a short one, but an interesting one. So bear with me. Of course need to put a warning about drug use. There are plenty of other posts that you are more than welcome to check out if this isn't your thing. If you are unfamiliar with Rod Stewart, let me introduce you to the ICON! He's a rockstar who also has a few pop bangers. I grew up with his music and can't remember a time in my life without his music. The first song I think of when he pops into my head is "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?" . I know it's the most basic song of his, but I have fond memories listening to the song on the radio when I was a kid. He's also dabbled in a few bands, but I am more familiar with his solo work than his bands. Though check out his band, Faces. In 2012, Rod released his autobiography, Rod: The A...
