Chrissy Teigen, Not the Hero We Wanted, But the Hero We Deserve

Are you surprised that I'm not writing about something music related? Though Chrissy Teigen is married to one of my favorite artists, John Legend.

Today, I'm casual screaming about Chrissy Teigen, who is both a hero and a celebrity crush of mine. I have her on Tweet and Instagram post notification. I bought her first cookbook when I started cooking for my family after moving back home from college.
Chrissy came to my attention in 2013, when I saw her in John Legend's video for his song "All Of Me" and then I found out that she is his actual wife. I have been a John Legend fan for so long and I really appreciate that he includes his family in his music videos.

I didn't really follow her after learning about her initially, but she was on my radar more. Every time I saw her in anything I was interested just because she was in it. I remember watching her episode of Ridiculousness on MTV and that is why I really started following her more.

I was still just a casual fan, but if someone mentioned her I was always like "I love her". I didn't become a diehard fan until recently.
I watched NBC's Jesus Christ Live and was so excited because I knew John was going to do an amazing job. What should have been a month-long obsession with John Legend, became me selling my soul to Chrissy.

I followed the John Legend tag on Tumblr and found some Tweets of Chrissy trolling him and that was when I became a diehard fan.

But you may be asking who is Chrissy and why do I love her so much. And I'll explain.

She is not John Legend's wife. I mean she is, but don't refer to her as just his wife. She has her own career and is her own person.
She is mostly known for her modeling career. Which is understandable because she is gorgeous. She also has two cookbooks out - and trust me from the recipes I've tried SHE IS GOOD. She is also the co-host of Lip Sync Battle which is one of the few reasons I'm upset I don't have cable, but I love watching clips on YouTube.

I love her Tweets so much. That is a big reason I am such a fan. I love how she jokingly and lovingly drags her husband often. Keeps him humble. I love that she doesn't care what people think. Maybe she does, but that's not what she puts out. She will troll President Trump. And even though I try not to get political on this blog, but I love that. BY THE WAY, THIS IS GOING LIVE ON NOV. 6! IF YOU ARE ABLE TO, GO VOTE!!!

I just love everything about what she puts out. Obviously, I don't know her personally and maybe she's a different person in her personal life, but her public persona is what I'm a fan of. Honestly, she is one of few celebrities that I am a fan of that I can say has not disappointed me. I don't think she's ever done anything that I've disagreed with.

I live for her Tweets and Instagram Story updates.
I can confidently say that she is one of my favorite celebrities. Up there with John Tartaglia and Paul McCartney. If you know me, you know that she ranks high.

She is one of my heroes. She is someone I look up to. She is someone who motivates me. I am looking forward to being able to get her second cookbook as soon as I can afford it. She really has been inspiring me to cook more for my family, because I never really learned how to cook in my upbringing. My mom always said, "you're only concern is school". And that has screwed me up now as an adult.

So now I'm learning to cook and I have used her first cookbook, Cravings, a few times. I am a recipe person. You can't just tell me what to do. I need to have it written out. So she's saved me a few times with the book.

Chrissy Teigen is much more than the model everyone knows her as. She is much more than John Legend's wife. She is an intelligent, funny, talented woman. And she deserves more credit than people give her.
Wasn't going to end the post without a photo of her and John being cute.

Zac Efron and Garrett Clayton are Basically the Same Person

I, a 21-year-old adult, is still a HUGE fan of the High School Musical franchise. In high school, had I been a better planner, I would have asked Lucas Grabeel to be my prom date. And even though I was older than most viewers, I did love Teen Beach Movie when it came out. In this post, I am going to explain how Zac Efron and Garrett Clayton are basically the same person. Let's start at the beginning. You may know Zac Efron as Troy Bolton in the Disney Channel Original Movie (or DCOM), High School Musical and it's franchise. He is the attractive blue-eyed, protagonist of all three HSM movies. And I will admit that I was a huge fangirl for him in my youth. Honestly, now I can't stand him. But that's for another post. Zac portrayed Troy in all three HSM films, but he only sang in the last two. That's right. Zac Efron did not sing in the first HSM movie. That was the amazingly talented Drew Seeley whom I will love till the day I die. Similarly, Garrett Clayton pl...

Is Marvin from Falsettos Abusive? And Why is He Such an Easy Character to Hate?

Is Marvin abusive? Short answer: yes. Long answer: You've come to the right place. "I love my tight-knit family. I love the way they cook linguine." Let's get this out of the way, this blog, as all of my blog posts are, is 100% my opinion. Unless stated directly that it is fact, this is all what's going on in my mind. Thoughts from a fangirl, if you will. Also I have to use Spotify to link the songs, because the entire 2016 revival cast album is not on YouTube and I know the revival album better than the original albums. Also this post is going to be long because I'm actually going through actual lines from the musical. I am going to try to sprinkle some photos into this post. "Lovers come and lovers go." Listen to "Marvin Hits Trina" on Spotify. Let's start with the most obvious: Marvin hits Trina after learning that she's going to marry Mendel. Where can you find this scene? In "Marvin Hits Trina". It'...

That Time A President Conducted Meetings from the Toilet

Happy Monday! Another week ahead. This week's weird moment from history is how President Lyndon B. Johnson conducted meetings and interviews while on the toilet. I learned way too much about LBJ while doing research for this post and it is going to be a LONG time before I write another weird history post about him. But there will be at least another one in the future. Man was weird. Quick history lesson for my non-Americans who may not know who LBJ is. Lyndon Baines Johnson was the 36th President of the United States. He assumed the position following the assassination of John F. Kennedy. He was president from 1963 til 1969. NOW if you're like me and you grew up with the rewatching the movie Forrest Gump over and over again your first introduction to LBJ might be when Forrest was being honored with the Medal of Honor and showed the president where he was "shot in the buttocks" during the Vietnam War.  I haven't watched Forrest Gump in years, but if you haven't...
