Just Talking About "Lucky People" By Waterparks

Consider this a kinda review of a song. Today, I'm talking about "Lucky People" by Waterparks which is becoming one of my favorite songs of all time.
I've been listening to "Lucky People" a lot lately. I wrote about the song on my kinda review of Waterparks' album, Entertainment. And I still very much love the song. If anything I love it more now than when I first got into the band and when I wrote the kinds review post.

In the post I wrote:
I love everything about the music video. I love everything about this song. On my Waterparks post, I said this was my favorite song at the time. It's such a cute song. Do you need a cute love song to send to your significant other? Send this. It's my most played song off the album. I don't plan on getting married, but if it ever happens, catch this being the song I dance to at my wedding with my future spouse. Just saying. That is how much I love this song. It's from the point of view of a person who is in love and happy. My favorite line in the whole song that is repeated constantly is "Let's keep each other safe from the world". It's just so cute and lovely. In the chorus "Happy birthday, Merry Christmas / To the one I call my missus" is believed to parallel a line from "Gloom Boys" that goes "Birthdays and Christmas are not on my wishlist". The person in love now has a reason to look forward to birthdays and Christmas and now welcomes the holidays. The lines "My hourglass is in your hands / You've got my time, you are my plans" is the person in love explaining that everything for them revolves around the someone they are in love with. It also implies that they plan to be with this person in the future. Again, I say this song is so cute. For me, it's the perfect love song. The acoustic guitar and simplicity of the song just warm my heart. The song is just a boy, his guitar and his heart. Let me tell you, I watched a sunset while drinking tea and listening to this song on repeat and that was probably the most beautiful moment of my entire life thus far.
I still love everything about the music video. I still love everything about the song. And I still say that if I ever get married it will be the song my spouse and I dance to.

It's such a simple song, but it's just a wonderful song. The simple acoustic guitar and Awsten Knight's vocals help it hold that lovely cute aesthetic.

I still say it is the perfect love song. And I have listened to a lot of love songs.

I am a person who - even though I'm young and have barely lived life - has sworn off love because I've never seen a happy couple in my vicinity. Everyone's pretty miserable. But this song makes me want to fall in love.

After seeing the song performed live, I'm seeing it in a whole nother light. Obviously, most fans know the situation surrounding who the song was written for. I won't get into it. At the show, I went to Awsten dedicated the song to a future, someone, that he falls in love with. It was very cute.

The song was already a pick-me-up for me, and I still listen to it when I just need to chill. Even this past Sunday, I was having a really bad time with my anxiety and I just put my headphones on and had the song on repeat and it put me at ease.

I didn't want to make this post too long. I've been running out of ideas for posts and my motivation is slowly dying, but we are almost done with November!

I don't think I am going to post much in December. I may take a break and come back stronger in 2019.

Zac Efron and Garrett Clayton are Basically the Same Person

I, a 21-year-old adult, is still a HUGE fan of the High School Musical franchise. In high school, had I been a better planner, I would have asked Lucas Grabeel to be my prom date. And even though I was older than most viewers, I did love Teen Beach Movie when it came out. In this post, I am going to explain how Zac Efron and Garrett Clayton are basically the same person. Let's start at the beginning. You may know Zac Efron as Troy Bolton in the Disney Channel Original Movie (or DCOM), High School Musical and it's franchise. He is the attractive blue-eyed, protagonist of all three HSM movies. And I will admit that I was a huge fangirl for him in my youth. Honestly, now I can't stand him. But that's for another post. Zac portrayed Troy in all three HSM films, but he only sang in the last two. That's right. Zac Efron did not sing in the first HSM movie. That was the amazingly talented Drew Seeley whom I will love till the day I die. Similarly, Garrett Clayton pl...

Is Marvin from Falsettos Abusive? And Why is He Such an Easy Character to Hate?

Is Marvin abusive? Short answer: yes. Long answer: You've come to the right place. "I love my tight-knit family. I love the way they cook linguine." Let's get this out of the way, this blog, as all of my blog posts are, is 100% my opinion. Unless stated directly that it is fact, this is all what's going on in my mind. Thoughts from a fangirl, if you will. Also I have to use Spotify to link the songs, because the entire 2016 revival cast album is not on YouTube and I know the revival album better than the original albums. Also this post is going to be long because I'm actually going through actual lines from the musical. I am going to try to sprinkle some photos into this post. "Lovers come and lovers go." Listen to "Marvin Hits Trina" on Spotify. Let's start with the most obvious: Marvin hits Trina after learning that she's going to marry Mendel. Where can you find this scene? In "Marvin Hits Trina". It'...

That Time A President Conducted Meetings from the Toilet

Happy Monday! Another week ahead. This week's weird moment from history is how President Lyndon B. Johnson conducted meetings and interviews while on the toilet. I learned way too much about LBJ while doing research for this post and it is going to be a LONG time before I write another weird history post about him. But there will be at least another one in the future. Man was weird. Quick history lesson for my non-Americans who may not know who LBJ is. Lyndon Baines Johnson was the 36th President of the United States. He assumed the position following the assassination of John F. Kennedy. He was president from 1963 til 1969. NOW if you're like me and you grew up with the rewatching the movie Forrest Gump over and over again your first introduction to LBJ might be when Forrest was being honored with the Medal of Honor and showed the president where he was "shot in the buttocks" during the Vietnam War.  I haven't watched Forrest Gump in years, but if you haven't...
