Fangirl Friday: I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME

I am writing this before, but I am scheduling it to be posted Nov. 9, which is the day IDKHow's EP, 1981 Extended Play, comes out. If you haven't listened to it yet, go listen to it. Here's their Spotify.

Today, I'm talking about I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME or IDKHow for short. Today is the perfect day because their EP comes out and I am seeing them live in two days and I am so beyond excited.
(L to R) Ryan Seaman and Dallon Weekes
IDKHow is made up of two members:
Dallon Weeks (Lead Vocals, Bass)
Ryan Seaman (Drums)

As of the posting of this they only have one EP:
1981 Extended Play (2018)

As you may or may not know, I am a HUGE fan of Dallon Weekes. He was previously my favorite Panic! at the Disco member and I am just a fan. I talked a bit about him in my Panic! at the Disco post. I am going to be doing a longer post about why he is one of my heroes and someone I admire at some point.

I remember learning that he left Panic! and being sad, but then I remember being so happy when I heard "Modern Day Cain" for the first time. I didn't know about IDKHow until after Dallon left Panic! officially, but it made the split easier to deal with since Dallon is still making music.
And let me say, I love IDKHow's music so much. I am so excited to finally hear the EP in full. I already know it's going to be good. I am writing this in the past, but I am betting my whole life on the fact that the EP is going to be good.

I am going to admit that despite being a fan of Escape the Fate, I wasn't familiar with Ryan Seaman prior to learning about IDKHow. But I am a fan now. I mean I guess I was a fan by default since I liked Escape the Fate. I think he's great and super talented.
I love this duo so much. I love their sound. I love their songs. And I know Dallon and Ryan worked together in the Brobecks.

Favorite Song: "Choke"
Least Favorite Song: None
Rate out of 10: 50/10 would recommend
I wasn't a fan while the Brobecks were still making music, but I have loved them since I became a fan of Dallon and no joke, Violent Things has become my go to album when I don't know what I want to listen to. And if you didn't know my blog URL Goodnight-socialite is a reference to one of my songs off Violent Things.

If you haven't figured it out yet, their band name is a reference to Back to the Future.

I just think Dallon and Ryan work together really well. I have been listening to IDKHow so much. I cannot wait until they release their first full album.

IDKHow is still a new band so this post isn't supposed to be super long. But expect a post about Dallon and the EP.

And I am seeing them November 11th on the Waterparks tour. Let me admit that it is Waterparks headlining tour and as you know, I am a fan of Waterparks, but the main reason I bought tickets was to see IDKHow.

And it's my first REAL concert and I am very excited. I will 1000% write a blog post about my concert experience.

Go check out IDKHow if you have not. They are so good.

Zac Efron and Garrett Clayton are Basically the Same Person

I, a 21-year-old adult, is still a HUGE fan of the High School Musical franchise. In high school, had I been a better planner, I would have asked Lucas Grabeel to be my prom date. And even though I was older than most viewers, I did love Teen Beach Movie when it came out. In this post, I am going to explain how Zac Efron and Garrett Clayton are basically the same person. Let's start at the beginning. You may know Zac Efron as Troy Bolton in the Disney Channel Original Movie (or DCOM), High School Musical and it's franchise. He is the attractive blue-eyed, protagonist of all three HSM movies. And I will admit that I was a huge fangirl for him in my youth. Honestly, now I can't stand him. But that's for another post. Zac portrayed Troy in all three HSM films, but he only sang in the last two. That's right. Zac Efron did not sing in the first HSM movie. That was the amazingly talented Drew Seeley whom I will love till the day I die. Similarly, Garrett Clayton pl...

Is Marvin from Falsettos Abusive? And Why is He Such an Easy Character to Hate?

Is Marvin abusive? Short answer: yes. Long answer: You've come to the right place. "I love my tight-knit family. I love the way they cook linguine." Let's get this out of the way, this blog, as all of my blog posts are, is 100% my opinion. Unless stated directly that it is fact, this is all what's going on in my mind. Thoughts from a fangirl, if you will. Also I have to use Spotify to link the songs, because the entire 2016 revival cast album is not on YouTube and I know the revival album better than the original albums. Also this post is going to be long because I'm actually going through actual lines from the musical. I am going to try to sprinkle some photos into this post. "Lovers come and lovers go." Listen to "Marvin Hits Trina" on Spotify. Let's start with the most obvious: Marvin hits Trina after learning that she's going to marry Mendel. Where can you find this scene? In "Marvin Hits Trina". It'...

That Time A President Conducted Meetings from the Toilet

Happy Monday! Another week ahead. This week's weird moment from history is how President Lyndon B. Johnson conducted meetings and interviews while on the toilet. I learned way too much about LBJ while doing research for this post and it is going to be a LONG time before I write another weird history post about him. But there will be at least another one in the future. Man was weird. Quick history lesson for my non-Americans who may not know who LBJ is. Lyndon Baines Johnson was the 36th President of the United States. He assumed the position following the assassination of John F. Kennedy. He was president from 1963 til 1969. NOW if you're like me and you grew up with the rewatching the movie Forrest Gump over and over again your first introduction to LBJ might be when Forrest was being honored with the Medal of Honor and showed the president where he was "shot in the buttocks" during the Vietnam War.  I haven't watched Forrest Gump in years, but if you haven't...
