Fangirl Friday: Jackass Movie Franchise

Here it is! The post that I have taken way too long to write. Also, WE COMPLETED DAILY POSTINGS IN NOVEMBER AND I AM SO HAPPY!

I am going to be talking about the Jackass movies today because it is my favorite film franchise of all time.

I have watched Jackass The Movie, Jackass Number Two, Jackass 2.5, Jackass 3D, Jackass 3.5, Bad Grandpa, Bad Grandpa .5 so many times it is probably ridiculous to a normal person, but these movies bring me so much joy.
The Jackass squad is made up of Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Ryan Dunn, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Wee-Man, Preston Lacy, Dave England, and Ehren McGhehey. There are a few others who are like the supporting in all of the movies like Jeff Tremaine, Spike Jonze and some others who for some reason I can't think of.

The movies consist of the cast doing stupid stunts and pranks. The first film opens with the main cast speeding down a road in a giant shopping cart (shown below) and at the end of the road the cart is tripped and they all go flying. But not before you hear Knoxville say "Hi, I'm Johnny Knoxville and welcome to Jackass!"
The stunts are all over the board. They rented a car and entered it into a demolition derby, someone shoved a toy car up his butt, they've sledded and sent off rockets in poor April and Phil Margera's home. They do a lot.

I remember when the first movie came out. I was such an uptight goody-two-shoes back then. I thought it was so stupid and dangerous. At first, I had no interest in ever watching these movies.

Then fast forward to 2011ish, when my family got cable for the first time ever and one late night my older brother and I were watching MTV and they were showing Jackass Number Two. We got the last hour of the movie and I had never laughed so hard at any movie.

I've mentioned in the Action Point post that I have always had a huge crush on Johnny Knoxville which started in my childhood. But I also had a huge crush on Bam Margera that stems back to whenever my brothers and I would play Tony Hawk Underground, I'd always play as Bam.

My childhood crushes aside, I really do enjoy the movies in this franchise. Whenever I'm having a bad day, I just have to head on over to Netflix and watch one of them. Fortunately, a few are on Netflix. I need to own them at some point. They never fail to make me feel better.

I know there's a whole group of people who hate the Jackass franchise and can't stand it and I feel so sorry for those people. Sure, they do dumb things, but they're not hurting anyone besides each other. It's not like the pranks on YouTube where people go after innocent bystanders.

I didn't rank any of the Jackasses on My Top 5 Movies post because even though they are my favorite, I wanted to write about them by themselves. I also want to make a post where I rank them. So expect that soon, hopefully, if I can get my life together to write it.

I really was planning on writing more for this post, but my brain is slowly dying. So I will write another post where I rank the Jackass movies and maybe I'll write separate posts about all of the movies.

We got through November. This might by my last post of 2018. I still am not 100% sure if I'll post in December, but I'll be back in January. I'll be on vacation over Christmas and New Years break so I probably will not post my normal Happy New Years post. If I can figure out how to post from vacation I will, but I can't make any promises.

I hope the rest of your year is great. I hope you have a great Christmas and New Years. I am actually going to be really trying next year to post as much as I can.

Thanks for your support th

Zac Efron and Garrett Clayton are Basically the Same Person

I, a 21-year-old adult, is still a HUGE fan of the High School Musical franchise. In high school, had I been a better planner, I would have asked Lucas Grabeel to be my prom date. And even though I was older than most viewers, I did love Teen Beach Movie when it came out. In this post, I am going to explain how Zac Efron and Garrett Clayton are basically the same person. Let's start at the beginning. You may know Zac Efron as Troy Bolton in the Disney Channel Original Movie (or DCOM), High School Musical and it's franchise. He is the attractive blue-eyed, protagonist of all three HSM movies. And I will admit that I was a huge fangirl for him in my youth. Honestly, now I can't stand him. But that's for another post. Zac portrayed Troy in all three HSM films, but he only sang in the last two. That's right. Zac Efron did not sing in the first HSM movie. That was the amazingly talented Drew Seeley whom I will love till the day I die. Similarly, Garrett Clayton pl

Is Marvin from Falsettos Abusive? And Why is He Such an Easy Character to Hate?

Is Marvin abusive? Short answer: yes. Long answer: You've come to the right place. "I love my tight-knit family. I love the way they cook linguine." Let's get this out of the way, this blog, as all of my blog posts are, is 100% my opinion. Unless stated directly that it is fact, this is all what's going on in my mind. Thoughts from a fangirl, if you will. Also I have to use Spotify to link the songs, because the entire 2016 revival cast album is not on YouTube and I know the revival album better than the original albums. Also this post is going to be long because I'm actually going through actual lines from the musical. I am going to try to sprinkle some photos into this post. "Lovers come and lovers go." Listen to "Marvin Hits Trina" on Spotify. Let's start with the most obvious: Marvin hits Trina after learning that she's going to marry Mendel. Where can you find this scene? In "Marvin Hits Trina". It'

That Time A President Conducted Meetings from the Toilet

Happy Monday! Another week ahead. This week's weird moment from history is how President Lyndon B. Johnson conducted meetings and interviews while on the toilet. I learned way too much about LBJ while doing research for this post and it is going to be a LONG time before I write another weird history post about him. But there will be at least another one in the future. Man was weird. Quick history lesson for my non-Americans who may not know who LBJ is. Lyndon Baines Johnson was the 36th President of the United States. He assumed the position following the assassination of John F. Kennedy. He was president from 1963 til 1969. NOW if you're like me and you grew up with the rewatching the movie Forrest Gump over and over again your first introduction to LBJ might be when Forrest was being honored with the Medal of Honor and showed the president where he was "shot in the buttocks" during the Vietnam War.  I haven't watched Forrest Gump in years, but if you haven't
